BRUNSWICK FAMILY MEDICINE WELCOMES MRS. SHERRIE G. CASS, MS, APRN, NP-C

Mrs. Cass brings her passion for women’s health, polypharmacy in older adults, aesthetics, and weight management to the practice and is accepting new patients in the Southport location.

Sherrie was born and raised in eastern North Carolina and has been a registered nurse for over 27 years in various areas of nursing including acute care, pediatrics, internal medicine, and surgery. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Our Lady of the Lake College, Baton Rouge, LA and received her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from Georgetown University, Washington, DC. While at Georgetown University, Sherrie received national recognition for her project in evidence-based research, as well as being inducted into nursing’s academic international honor society, Sigma Theta Tau for her outstanding academic achievements. Sherrie is nationally certified as Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is an active member of the American Nurses Association and the North Carolina Nurses Association.

Mrs. Cass is married to her husband, Robb, of 26 years and is the proud mother of two children, Sydney and Tyler. She and her family recently relocated to Southport area from Raleigh. Sydney is a student at UNCW and Tyler will be a senior at South Brunswick High School in the fall. She and her family love the small town feel of Southport and are excited to embrace all that Brunswick County has to offer.
